Favourite Experiences:
- Getting lost in the narrow lanes of Gamla Stan
- Eating Swedish Meatballs for every meal
- Wandering the city with the best company!
My final stop on my trip to Scandinavia was Stockholm, Sweden where I spent my final two days exploring the city on foot with my Contiki Scandinavia tour. I didn’t expect to fall in love with Stockholm as much as I did! The old town is stunning, with ornate architecture, cobblestone streets, and excellent restaurants and shops. I also really enjoyed walking along the water and taking in the city’s views from it’s many different islands. Another highlight for me was visiting the Vasa Museum, which contains an almost fully intact 17th century ship that sank in the harbour off Stockholm in 1628. Stockholm has great night life, and a highlight of our tour was a visit to Icebar Stockholm.
