My extended family lives in Victoria, British Columbia and I’ve always loved visiting them out west. Victoria is such a change of pace from life in Toronto, and every now and then I need that! After each visit, I leave Victoria feeling relaxed and much more in touch with nature. I would argue that Vancouver Island is the most beautiful spot in Canada. There are amazing beaches, lush forests, fresh sea air and beautiful views to be found all over. The people are laid back, the craft beer is delicious and the lifestyle is green. If you ever get the chance to visit Vancouver Island, make sure that Victoria, Sooke, Tofino and Saltspring Island are on your list.
I visited Victoria for a few days at the end of August and the weather was perfect! We took a day trip to Sooke, explored downtown Victoria, visited Butchart Gardens, and went on lots of oceanside hikes. Below are my favourite photos from my most recent trip to Victoria:
