My last stop on my 2012 Eurotrip was Greece. I stayed in Athens for a few days to visit the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and Plaka, and then it was off to the islands.
After a very windy flight, I landed in Mykonos excited to enjoy some sun and seafood by the beach. This was a perfect few days – I rented an ATV and headed to Elia Beach during the day, and at night I explored the town and ate fresh seafood. Mykonos is considered a party island – and on my last night I went to Paradise Club to see DJ Afrojack. This was a crazy night and even though the ferry ride the next morning was not fun, it was well worth it.
From Mykonos I sailed to Santorini for my last stop of my trip. Perched high up on a volcanic caldera, the views from Santorini made me feel like I was in heaven. Looking out over the cliffs, there was nothing but clear blue sea as far as you could see. I stayed at Hotel Afroessa in Imerovigli and the views from my studio were breathtaking. I would highly recommend visiting the Greek Islands, my time in Greece was a perfect and relaxing end to a wonderful trip all throughout Europe. Below are some photos from my time in Greece:

The Parthenon in Athens. Much of its structure is being moved to the adjacent Acropolis Museum for preservation.

View of the sunset from my studio at the beautiful Hotel Afroessa in Imerovigli, Santorini. Complimentary Vinsanto Wine made on Santorini was a warm welcome to the island!

I would be remiss not to include a photo of some of the kittens we met in Greece. We saw hundreds! They were so friendly (especially when I shared my seafood)
