When I graduated from University in 2011, I had no idea what my plan was. The only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to travel.
My mom had done a Contiki trip when she was young and had always raved about how much fun she had and how many friends she made on her trip. She surprised me with the best graduation gift I could have asked for – a plane ticket to London and a three week Contiki trip. After I graduated, I worked for a year to save up money and plan my trip, and in May 2012 I embarked on a nearly three-month European adventure.
The Contiki trip I did was called ‘European Impressions’. We visited: Brussels, Amsterdam, Volendam, St. Goar, Lucerne, the Swiss Alps, Vaduz, Innsbruck, Munich, Venice, Sirmione, Pisa, Florence, Nice, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Carcassonne, Bordeaux and Paris.
The trip was an absolute blast. I met so many great people from all over the world and got an excellent fast-paced orientation to Europe. I would definitely recommend considering an organized trip with Contiki, especially if it is your first time travelling to Europe. Below are some of my best photos from the Contiki portion of my trip:
